Hi again, friends
This is the first post the series of post I’m doing on my images. I will reveal some of the “behind the scenes” stuff about this photos – where are they taken, why, what were I doing there and so on.
This picture of clouds was taken from the window of a moving train. I was traveling from my hometown to the capital city of Sofia – where I was working. Actually, it’s from the first film I ever bought! I was trying a lot of new stuff – the whole thing with the film camera was so new to me, that I was even watching on the light meter of the camera, to only find that it’s broken… Since then I learned to set the shutter speed only by feeling – most of the time it works pretty well.
You can see the landscape covered by the thick layer of golden clouds. I really like the color of the picture. In the distance you can see the first, low hills of the Rhodope Mountains – which I really love. They say about the Rhodope that it’s the heart of the Balkans – and it really feels like it. Every time I step there I can’t help, but be overwhelmed by the beauty and calmness of this mountain. Some photos from there are coming soon! Also, I think the village of my grandparents is somewhere on the picture’s far left – it lies just where the flat ends, giving turn to the mountain.
I will be really glad to answer any questions you have – about the picture or whatever you’re interested in. It’s still difficult for me to write in English, but I am learning.
Also, don’t forget to press like, share and comment if you like my art (or don’t). By doing so you are helping me continue doing this and I can’t say how thankful I am!
You can buy a print of this picture if you like it! I set up a small online shop where you can purchase some of my art. Big ups!
